I've used this tool over the Spring, Summer and Fall and it has worked very well. You do need to be a bit gentle with the unit or you might damage the plastic - especially around the clips. Mine has some slight damage so I need to keep an eye on it as I rotate my chain so it doesn't pop open but it isn't a big deal.
